Toxic RD's Soul Feast PvE necro build
I have a habit of trying to make builds around 1 specific skill, and branching out from there, today i found one that i actually think will be viable, and. . . dare i say . . . fun! I call it the Soul Feast build, as an homage to one of my favorite Magic the Gathering cards: . . . .soul feast!
Put alot of attributes into Blood and Curses, your choice depending on how much health you wanna loose using runes, i'd jusggest each at least 13 or 14, the rest will go into soul reaping with a +1 rune
Feast of Corruption This is the basis around my build, a strong damage dealer, and it also steals health, which means they take extra dmg, as you heal yourself, very underrated skill in my opinion
Awaken the Blood This will boost all your skills, and as you'll see from the remaining skills, there is no need to worry about the double sacrifice cost
Suffering This will be the skill that makes FoC (Feast of Corruption) work so very well, i'll describe how to use it further down
Arcane Echo Use this to duplicate FoC for double the damage, double the fun! I suppose you could use it to double Suffering, or maybe Awaken the Blood, but you'll get more dmg from copying FoC
Strip Enchantment/Desecrate Enchantments Chose whether or not you wanna strip some enchants, or do more dmg and punish the enemies for using them, i;d suggest if your happy with the dmg dealing capabilites, use Strip, but if you're a dmg hog, by all means desecrate is fun
Well of Blood Just a general party helping skill, always nice to have health regen
Vampiric Gaze I'm a stickler for a reliable, constant dmg dealer, and this is it, not only does it hurt them, but again, it heals you
For the last skill, you can choose, popular options would be Parasitic Bond, Res sig, Faintheartedness, Life Siphon etc. . .
For gear your weapon can be either a Blood or Curse weapon, which ever you prefer, your armor should be Scar patterns, if you dont like the look of scars (like me) just use whatever you do like, and what ever bonuses you want, you should have a +1 rune for soul reaping, and perhaps a +2 for both blood and curse, or even a +3 for blood and curse
Usage would go something like this:
Cast awaken the blood before battle
Cast suffering when enemies are close together
Wait for their health to lower a bit, you dont wanna waste the effects of suffering
Cast Arcane Echo
Now hit them with a Feast of Corruption, and then again the echo'd version if you have enough energy
Use the other skills whenever you feel but it;s important you make sure you get in the FoC's while suffering is still in effect, but dont do it right away, i would let suffering chip away at their health a bit before FoC
Pros:
No sacrifice spells, so ATB doesnt seriously hurt you
Lots of way to regain lost health
Plenty of damage dealing capabilites, ESPECIALLY if enemies are close together
Cons:
I think all the spells cost at least 10 energy
Somewhat of a long battle order (might take a while to get to FoC)
If using alot of runes, you wont have as much health as i'd like even with health gaining capabilities you could die quickly
There it is, i'll edit this as more ppl give me their input
All advice is appreciated

I find it curious that this build doesn't include the actual skill "Soul Feast".

Hmm... Toxid RD's ____ _____ PvE build, I'll remember that one. : p
I don't see how you're going to pull all this off without getting either interuppted or killed. Such long cast times and high energy costs, it's kind of risky. You may be able to play it in a mob or w/e for a little under a half a minute before you start to get pounded on.

Hmm? How so? I didn't test the build but I just thought that would be the outcome of using it. I'm just curious because you haven't said anything about using it. I'm not puttin ya down man let me know how it goes. I didn't say your build sucked at all or anything related to such a statement.
P.S. You ever heard of a card named "Soul Scourge?" Destroys all non-artifact permanents. Yeah, I play MTG also, or used to

Hmm, that's only fair what I've said based on not trying the build either. Let's move on.

Lol, do you hunt down my responses? Oh well, im thru with bickering, it doesnt help us at all
I think one major problem with this build will bhe pulling off an Echo'd version of FoC, i suppose not taking echo, and simply using suffering + FoC would work fine, if that's the case i;d suggest bringing along some energy management skill, one that does not necesarily require alot of Insp. points
Soul Scourge, no, never heard of it, i stopped playing after Onslaught, once that series came out they were trying too hard to makie new "unique" changes, i was happy up to that point

Congrats on becoming a counillor, lol.
It really depends where you use this build, though. That's what will alter its performance.

Try switching Well of Blood with Shadow of Fear for areas with melee/physical enemies. You won't need the health regen if they're attacking 50% slower. It's also another wide area hex that works well with FoC.
